BE Orthodontics

Phase I (Early Treatment)

Phase I treatment, or early treatment, refers to orthodontic treatment for patients who still have some baby teeth. Early treatment is generally used to correct a jaw discrepancy, such as underbite, overbite or crossbite, or a harmful habit, including thumb- and finger-sucking and tongue thrust. Phase I treatment usually involves a functional appliance and limited braces.
